Today, he campaigns two Boerboels from ColdRiver Boerboels and two American Pit Bull Terriers bred at Funny Man Kennel. He has his sights set on earning even more championship titles throughout the 2026 season.

What does Emmanuel say to those just getting into dog sports?
The best way to get into weight pull—or really any dog sport—is to find a mentor who trains and competes in the style you want to follow. Having someone with real experience can save you years of trial and error and help you build a solid foundation for both you and your dog.
Patience is also a virtue. Dogs do what they want to do, so the key is learning how to make them *want* to participate in the sport you choose. Motivation, consistency, and trust are far more important than force.
Finally, work with a breeder who is successful in the sport and produces genetically sound dogs. Good genetics, proper training, and patience are the three pillars of long-term success in any canine sport.
